Conference Rooms

There are many conference room scattered throughout Research Park available to all Research Park tenants. To reserve a room, visit Spaces, specify the room, time, and date on which you require a conference room. For larger meetings and events, there are adjoining two training rooms, which can accommodate up to 80 people, located in the Atkins Building, and building atrium’s, and other building common areas, which are available to tenants free of charge. If you have any questions regarding Spaces, the process for reserving conference rooms, or to check availability and schedule events in the training rooms or common area spaces for an event, please contact Missy Adams.

Workout Facility

Located within the Atkins building at 1800 South Oak Street, the fitness center offers two treadmills, free weights up to about 40 lbs, kettelbells, an air bike, rowers, and exercise balls. The workout facility also features two attached locker rooms with showers.

I Hotel & Illinois Conference Center

The I Hotel and Conference Center; contemporary, AAA four-diamond designed property features 125 luxurious hotel room accommodations. The I Hotel and Conference Center is located on the south campus of the University of Illinois in the heart of The Research Park. The adjoining 38,000 square foot state-of-the-art Illinois Conference Center features 12 conference rooms; two large ballrooms and ten meeting rooms. Tenants in the Research Park receive special rates when staying at the I Hotel and Conference Center.

Daycare

Chesterbrook Academy Child Development Center serves the Urbana/Champaign Community and is conveniently located within the Research Park at the University of Illinois. Chesterbrook Academy not only serves employees at Research Park but is also a convenient option for University of Illinois workers. Chesterbrook Academy combines academic learning experiences and structured play for children 6 weeks to Kindergarten .

Outdoor Facilities

Outdoor Amphitheater & Concerts
Located south of St. Mary’s Road on First Street, the performance space and seating area for “OUTSIDE at the UI Research Park” has been landscaped and planted to create a shaded, grassy seating space that can accommodate up to 1,500 people. The space is great for dancing, kids playing, listening to music, and enjoying wine and local Champaign delicacies. The concerts occur twice each summer, begin at 6:30 p.m., and are free to the public.

Fire Pit & The Fire-at-Five
You are invited to the monthly Research Park Fire-at-Five event, located at the Ameren Building patio. A bonfire is lit from 4:30-7:00 pm on announced Thursday’s outside the Ameren Building at 2100 South Oak Street.

Basketball Court
There is a basketball court located in the parking lot at 2100 South Oak Street and is open to all tenants.

Dockless Bike Share Service
Champaign-Urbana residents have a new way of getting around town with the city’s launch of a dockless bike share. Rather than requiring riders to hunt for a fixed docking station when they are done with a bike, dockless bike share lets riders park right by their destination.
