Littelfuse, a worldwide leader in circuit protection products and solutions, opened a 13,500 square-foot technical center at The Research Park in March 2010 after transferring its Illinois production and distribution departments to international facilities. The Littelfuse Technical Center houses the company's High Power Test Lab and POWR-GARD divisions, which were relocated from Des Plaines and Arcola, Illinois. Littelfuse lab capabilities include overcurrent and overvoltage testing, as well as material analysis and reliability testing. The success of Littelfuse at The Research Park has already sparked talks of expansion. “Our presence at The Research Park will allow Littelfuse to leverage the skills and knowledge of faculty and students, as well as gain direct access to University resources,” said Dan Stanek, Director of Business Development.
