Jimmy John's Restaurant  Jimmy John's Development Team The Fox Ventures Jimmy John's development team has committed to further investing in the Jimmy John’s brand in South and North Carolina. The identified markets of Charlotte, Raleigh Durham, and Wilmington in North Carolina and Columbia and Spartanburg in South Carolina can support over 50 stores; the corporately implemented and mandatory timeline for each market’s completion is to open several stores per year in each market until the 50 store level is reached, providing a timeline of 5 years to fully develop our targeted areas. Five new stores are currently being constructed in existing markets, not to mention several Letters of Intent waiting on Lease. Over the past four years, the development team has acquired seven Jimmy John’s stores, two in Bloomington, Indiana, three in Durham/Chapel Hill/Raleigh, North Carolina and two in Columbia, South Carolina. Indiana University at Bloomington Indiana was taken over in 2002 and has experienced a growth of over four times the acquired revenue. The Durham/Chapel Hill stores, acquired in 2003, had doubled their revenue by 2005. The Columbia, South Carolina stores were acquired in June 2006 and are already experiencing a noticeable revenue increase as well as setting the stage for another opening in the fall of 2007. Other additions to the company include stores in Cary, NC and Spartanbug, SC, and current construction on five new stores in our existing markets as well as in North Carolina and South Carolina. For three consecutive years, the development team’s stores earned the Best Campus Growth award among Jimmy John’s franchisees nationwide while maintaining Health Department scores of High A grade (95%+). All stores have also become active parts of their respective communities, regularly catering to local businesses and their university athletics and academic departments. We pride ourselves in maintaining an inviting atmosphere and employee demeanor for all demographics and service groups and regularly give back to community programs and initiatives through donations and volunteer work.
“Highest Increase in Sales for a Campus Store” In 2003, 2004, and 2005 the development team’s locations received the award for highest increase in sales for a campus store. This award is determined by comparing the improvements in sales of all Jimmy John’s stores that are located on college campuses across the country. Consistently receiving this award speaks highly of the development team’s ability to show substantial and sustainable improvement store performance in a variety of regional markets.
