July 29th, 5:30pm - 7:30pm - Summer Intern Recognition Picnic @ Gateway
Please join us as we host a picnic for all interns currently working in Research Park. Interns will be recognized for their outstanding performances in various Research Park companies. All Interns are invited to attend. Interns MUST be nominated by an employee of Research Park to be considered for an award. July 31st, 5pm - 7pm - Fire @ Five
Fox Developement will be hosting a bonfire at the iCyt building fire pit. Beer, wine, and snacks will be provided. Remember to bring your families and take this opportunity to network with fellow Research Park employees. OUTSIDE AT THE RESEARCH PARK: Come enjoy great music, food and drinks at the third annual Outside at the Research Park Concert Series! Concerts will take place on an outside lawn in the Research Park near the Gateway Building located at 1800 Oak Street in Champaign, IL. July 17th, 6:30 pm A favorite of President Obama's, Funkadesi at 7:30 pm will weave an aural tapestry ranging from Indian ragas to reggae, Latin, African, and funk sounds and beats. Great energy to get everyone going. The July 17th concert will start with a performance from local group - Hathaways.
August 14th, 6:30 pm Kathy Mattea will take the stage at 7:30 pm. A Grammy-winning singer, Kathy Mattea explores her musical and cultural heritage as a West Virginia native whose family life was steeped in mining livelihood and mountain songs. She will be performing songs from her acclaimed COAL: Mining Mountains Tour. The August 14th concert will kick off at 6:30 PM with local performer Ryan Groff.
August 28th, 4:00 PM - Green Fair with Local Green Businesses August 28th, 5:00 PM - Concert Series Hot Buttered Rum will take the stage for their anticipated performance at 8:00 pm. Hot Buttered Rum travels with a retrofitted bus that uses vegetable oil and biodiesel fuel. This eco-friendly ensemble melds blues, folk, bluegrass, jazz and rock with "stunning instrumental and vocal virtuosity." The August 28th concert will open at 5:00 PM with performances from local bands Post Historic and The Duke of Uke and His Novelty Orchestra.
