Parkland College

Parkland Community College is an important institution in our region, serving nearly 12,000 students through affordable vocational-technical and academic education. Founded in 1966, Parkland offers career and transfer programs, community classes and workshops, and online courses.

Fox Development Corporation has long been a supporter of Parkland, making considerable gifts to support college scholarships and other educational programs and improvements. In 2006, to honor retiring Parkland President Zelema Harris, Fox Development Corporation donated $12,600 as an endowment to help create five scholarships annually for Parkland students interested in health care-related professions.

In 2004, Fox Development donated $2,500 to the Construction Education Alliance, teaching students construction trades. The funds were used for scholarships to boost the diversity of students able to afford to attend this program.

Other gifts along the way have helped develop other scholarships for students interested in business, finance, and other related degrees.

"Peter Fox has assisted Parkland College immeasurably with his leadership in various projects over the past ten years. Financially, we appreciate Peter's contributions, but his insight and influence has been even more beneficial.” – Carl Meyer, Executive Director, Parkland College Foundation
