In August 2008, Peter Fox was given the Partners in Education Award in recognition of his large contribution and involvement in several Champaign district schools. The press release can be read here.

Mr. Fox continues to contribute to local education efforts. As of June 2009 he has adopted 6 local schools including Kenwood, Westview, South Side, Edison, Wiley, and Thomas Paine. He is also the lead gift giver and principal organizer for the Champaign-Urbana Schools Foundation Splash Grant program. This program receives private donations from local businesses to support teachers. It is specifically designed to help pay for out-of-pocket expenses to make classrooms a better place to teach. In the 2008-2009 school year, CUSF is awarding over $180,000.00 in grants to the area's public schools through $500.00 teacher grants.

The Parkland College Foundation honors students with the Fox Development Scholarship.  This scholarship represents a commitment and investment in the children of the community.  The aim is to support worthy students to achieve their educational goals and contribute their talents to the community.
